Our Partners

Together, we can empower communities, foster environmental stewardship and build a brighter, cleaner future for generations to come.

Solhyd

Solhydair joins forces with Solhyd (KU Leuven Spin-off, link), which develops and provides this award-winning hydrogen solar technology, nominated for the EPO-inventor Award 2022. From the very beginning Jan Rongé’s and Tom Bosserez’s vision for renewable off-grid solar hydrogen was linked to the dream/ambition of combining this technology with clean cooking and cooling applications to positively impact local communities and entrepreneurs in the Global South.

COOSHA

Solhydair will manage this impact-licensed hydrogen technology together with COOSHA for the purpose of clean cooking and cooling with hydrogen in low and middle-income countries. COOSHA is involved in the development of renewable hydrogen appliances. These appliances are designed to facilitate the uptake of clean energy solutions in alignment with sustainability goals. COOSHA will also establish robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks to assess and report on the impact of our clean energy appliances. Through their services, COOSHA plays a key role in creating and supporting local businesses, and enables us to scale the deployment of solar hydrogen technology and appliances.

COOSHA Impact Ventures was founded by ILI (Impact Licence Initiative) and Solhydair Foundation in 2024.

By 2030, our ambition is to collectively enable 100,000 families each year to access renewable hydrogen for cooking and cooling purposes. We want to demonstrate that renewable hydrogen is a sustainable and affordable energy source for everyone.
