Mission Statement

Our mission is to enhance the positive social impact of existing, upcoming and new technologies, with a specific focus on energy, water, and health. We aim to develop and support innovative solutions that utilize sustainable and renewable energy sources, improve water quality, and promote the physical well-being and equality of people.

Vision Statement

We envision a world where technological solutions are employed to improve the quality of life for all people, without increasing our ecological footprint. A future where:

  • Energy is derived from renewable sources, for everyone.
  • Water resources are clean, accessible to everyone, and sustainably managed.
  • Health is supported by healthy nutrition and a healthy living environment.

Solhydair Foundation is committed to systemic changes where technology and entrepreneurship serve as catalysts for maximal long-term social impact in the Global South, and contribute to a sustainable world for current and future generations. Through innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, we aim to play a leading role in creating a sustainable and equitable future.

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), are a set of 17 interconnected objectives established by the United Nations aiming to address various global challenges by 2030.
The impact goals of the Solhydair foundation are in line with most of the UN SDG’s: 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13 and 15

Over 2 billion people on our planet are still cooking with polluting and toxic fuels. This causes an estimated 4 million deaths per year, and the use of wood for cooking is a major cause of deforestation. It is thus responsible for 2-5% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Moreover, women and children bear the brunt of the consequences, facing greater exposure to smoke and bearing the burden of gathering firewood.

At least half of the world’s population still lacks access to essential health services. One of the key hurdles to provide global inclusive health access in the developing world is the lack of reliable cold chain infrastructure to store medicines and vaccines.

ENERGY: Clean Energy Solutions for a Sustainable Future

Joining efforts to have a maximal positive impact on the lives of communities across the Global South by making clean solar hydrogen technologies accessible to every household.

Making Solar
Hydrogen available
for all
Combined with
Clean Cooking
and Cooling
Dissemination and Training to maximize positive impact

Working together with local partners to enable households in low and middle-income regions to access renewable solar hydrogen technology as a key solution to expand clean energy solutions using the innovative off-grid hydrogen technology provided by Solhyd.

Our dreams and focus extend beyond clean energy innovations, as we are dedicated to leveraging renewable hydrogen for a multitude of applications, including clean cooking and cooling hoping to drastically reduce the adverse health effects associated with traditional polluting cooking fuels, while simultaneously lowering the demand for wood, coal and LPG. Through these efforts, we strive to combat deforestation, increase human health, well-being, equality, and mitigate the impacts of global warming on a local and global scale.

Establishing sustainable hydrogen communities will positively impact gender equality and improve the health of especially women and young children who are most exposed to toxic fumes and mostly gather wood, thereby enhancing the overall well-being.

To amplify the social impact of this green hydrogen technology and its applications, Solhydair will engage with local communities through the dissemination of educational resources. This will include technical videos, physical demonstrations, on-site visits, teaching, and hands-on training sessions to showcase their benefits first-hand.

Maximizing the positive socio-environmental impact  of the Solhydair Foundation is our ultimate goal!
